Event Promotional Videos and sometimes referred to as Event Teaser Videos are short videos often used in marketing campaigns for events like concerts, festivals, competitions, and more. They are an effective way to generate buzz and interest around an event.
There are a few key elements that make up a good event promotional video. First, it should have a clear and compelling message that explains what the event is, and why people should attend. This can be done through the use of text, narration, or a combination of both.
The video should also include visually appealing footage and/or images of the event, such as performances, speakers, or activities that will take place. This can help to give viewers a sense of what to expect at the event, while also building excitement and anticipation.
Additional information in the video can also include ticket sales, location, and any other important details that attendees will need to know.

Event Promo Video Production by Vivid Snaps Team
If you are looking for an event promo video, you will have to research and find the right video production company. While some companies may use in-house video production teams, others may hire out a company that specialises in this type of video production.
In collaboration with the creative agency for Under Armour, our team worked on the post-production for the promotional video of their sports competition event. The video contained footage from the client’s global assets, which shows shots of contestants training and preparing themselves for the big event.
Cheering, intense music, fast pacing, hardcore moments, all make for a video that hypes up the audience for the upcoming event, while staying true to Under Armour’s branding. Big, bold fonts are used in simple, straightforward text that are cut to the beat, which keeps the event information attention-grabbing. Though, this video focuses more on getting people psyched up for the competition as opposed to providing information on it (seeing as it was still quite early before the event season).
Event Promo Video References from Around Singapore
Event promo videos can be used to showcase the highlights of the event, such as the performers, speakers, and activities that will be featured, as well as information on the location, date, and time of the event. We share references from around Singapore and check out what works well.

Countdown Event Trailer
Mediacorp plans year-end countdown events, well, every year. And part of the planning, of course, involves promoting it.
This trailer makes use of heavy, colourful graphics to highlight the event activities (don’t worry, you can find templates similar to this on sites like Envato Elements, so you can totally do this too!). There’s also exciting footage taken from the previous year’s event (which you should do if the event you’re promoting is an annual thing), giving people an idea of what to expect from the upcoming event.
The video uses a combination of text and narration to convey information on the event (note that your choice of speaker and tone determines how well your narration turns out).
Marathon Event Promo
A marathon event promo by Standard Chartered Singapore, this video is similar to a highlight video, showcasing footage from their last marathon. Their footage features a diversity of runners, encouraging everyone, no matter who they are, to take part in the event. Animated swirls and text provide information in an eye-catching manner.
Candlelight Concert Promo
This event promo video by Fever serves to highlight the arrival of a candlelight concert taking place worldwide, giving us a sneak peak of the performers and the atmosphere of the candlelit venue itself. It utilises text to display good reviews from attendees of past concerts and descriptive words cut back to back to prove to viewers that it’s an event worth going for.
This promo video also makes use of classical music from the performances itself as its background music to give viewers a taste of what to expect from the event. The naturally increasing pace of the classical music and high-speed cuts towards the end helps to build a sense of anticipation within the viewers.

Tech Event Promo
This promo video for a startup and tech event uses a combination of past footage and snappy graphics to tease the upcoming event. The graphics applied in this video aren’t just there for entertainment purposes, they help to address the needs and wants of the stakeholders of the event, connecting to the hearts of potential attendees.
Marketing Event Promo
INBOUND’s marketing event video is another example of a highlight-style video, using footage from their past year’s event to entice people to come to their event. But what makes their promo stand out is the way they chose to use narration in their video; instead of recording a separate voiceover to lay out details of the event, they used snippets of dialogues and soundbites from past speakers and attendees. This gives viewers a better idea of what to expect and, if the quotes are chosen and arranged well, could form a sort of story to add flow to the video. The addition of split screens also adds a dynamic feel to the overall visuals.
Aerospace Event Promo
This video by VHR is a short and simple promo of an aerospace event. It’s almost purely made of graphics with the occasional footage and image where necessary. Straight to the point, there is also footage and animations of planes to make it seem more obvious at a glance the type of event they’re hosting (lest it ends up looking too much like a powerpoint presentation).
